Preparing For Your Tan

Exfoliate your skin at least 8 hours prior to your appointment.  This promotes an even coverage and lengthens the duration of your tan by removing dead skin that would otherwise flake off.

Wax a minimum of 24 hours before your appointment or shave at least 8 hours before or after post tanning shower.

Do not apply any type of skin care product such as moisturizer, makeup or deodorant, which can act as a barrier to the spray and prevent the process from working properly.

Wear either a dark colored swimsuit or undergarments.  Or, if you prefer no tan lines, you may tan nude.  However, it is recommended that you at least wear some type of bottom.  Have dark, loose fitting clothing for afterwards.

Maintaining Your Tan

Wait at least 8 to 12 hours before showering.

Keep skin as hydrated as possible by applying moisturizer at least twice a day. Avoid moisturizers that contain AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) because they promote exfoliation.

Avoid long hot showers or baths and scrubbing the skin.  If you use a washcloth, choose one that is as soft as possible.  Excessive friction on your skin may prematurely fade your tan.

Chlorine in swimming pools and hot tubs may remove or shorten the length of your tan.

Take care when exercising as friction and excess sweat may cause your tan to fade prematurely or unevenly.
